She Likes Her Cars Fast

GG is able to hang on now, pretty much, so we can push her around on Jack's car (a long time fav of Jack's, too). If you're a parent, you can relate to the exhausting task this becomes, especially if you have major runways like our basement, and the toll it quickly takes on your back. Its easier when they both ride because she's wedged in and a bit more secure.

But she likes riding solo, too.

First Swim?

not a chance! The water was waaaay too cold, so she got all dressed.... to sit by the pool : )


The big story though was not that GG didn't get in, or that she was finally wearing the little suit that I bought on the day I found out we were having a little girl, or that I realized she has been working on 4 teeth simultaneously! no that wasn't the BIG story. The big news was that GG got into her first fight!! It was sad and kinda cute all at the same time. Both girls wanted the same duckie, but Madi wouldn't take no for an answer. When she swiped it for the last time, GG just lost it, heart broken. Looking so disillusioned and a little more cynical, she attempted to take it back. Just then, Madi punched GG in the face. That girl was NOT messing around. They are just 1 month apart, so she's only 11 months old, but Madi has learned some defensive moves from her big brother! The panel shows the sequence of events. The hard hit came between the last two shots (I missed it of course) But then GG really wailed and had to be comforted. They patched things up eventually after their "kitty" fight.

Another tooth!

She finally got that top tooth in. It was just grueling for her the last couple of days. Alas, I think she has another right on its tail... (sigh)

GG usually strongly dislikes getting any water in her eyes. But tonight, she really enjoyed bath time for some reason! Hopefully we've turned a corner???
